May 2011 my book "VOICES IN THE FOREST"
I made this book in conjunction with the show. It felt good
to finally share all the thoughts I have about working in wood
and my intuitive relationship with trees. I explained my process of lamination and how I come up with new ideas. There are
40 pages of pictures all taken by my husband, Bjorn Andren.

Sept 6 to Oct 22 , 2011 Voices in the Forest at Florida Craftsmen, St Petersburg My installation was a "forest like" environment complete with a bench for people to sit and enjoy "nature". I made a sound track of whispering, bird noises and other sounds that my sculptures might make. There were a lot of mobiles that turned slowly and cast shadows.

April 29 to May 23 2011 INSTALLATION atSALT CREEK Our BRAVA group of six women was invited to have an exhibition at Salt Creek in St Petersburg. It was wonderful to see all of our work together in one place. This was the first time I have exhibited my paintings alongside my sculptures.

Spring 2010 Sixteen artists were selected for the Brevard Art Museum’s national juried exhibition Navel Gazing: Artists Visions of Florida. Eight Florida artists and eight artists from outside the state were selected to reconstitute existing ideas or make fresh-squeezed interpretations of Florida. ( Spring 2009 edition ) with a seven page article inside.

November 2008 Two Person Show: November 1 - 22 Candace Knapp and Nancy Dillen at Harris House Gallery ATLANTIC CENTER FOR THE ARTS, New Smyrna Beach, FL
July 3, 2008 I was happy to be invited to participate in the "1st Thursday Art Party" at the Orlando Museum of Art. The theme was a "Surrealist's Holiday" and I feel that my three sculptures "Heart Center", "Perch" and "Tweet" are in the spirit of Surrealism because they suggest alternate realities while playing games with the viewer.

This is "Who is the One?", my second attempt at making music. Since this site is my "playground" and my music is my experiment, I hope you will enjoy this as much as I do. I learn a little more each time I try.
